Objective
The student will be able to
• identify questions and needs for development in their professional field and working life and plan solutions to them in accordance with the principles of sustainable development
• use reliable information from various sources to base and frame their work
• apply their professional knowledge and appropriate methods and working methods in their development work.
Content
• Familiarisation with the thesis process
• Contractual and permitting practices
• Familiarisation with the environment and planning of cooperation with working life
• Identifying the need for development
• Source-critical information gathering in Finnish and English
• Choice of working methods and methodologies
• Specifying the topic
• Drawing up and presenting a development plan
Location and time
Autumn 2024, start period 1 or 2. If period 2, the prosess will continue in spring 2025. Seminars according to the schedule, the supervisor of the thesis announces the implementation of the seminars. Seminar weeks: 33, 37, 43 and 49

The forms of supervision of the thesis are: group supervision (eg seminars and workshops) and also pairs individual supervision which needs to be agreed with the supervisor.

Accepted presentation of the of the thesis in the seminar and oral and written peer review of the second thesis and participation in the seminars of one's own group.
