Objective

Learning outcomes:
The students are able to justify the importance of occupational therapy in advancing health, well-being and participation. The students evaluate and develop their competence taking into account changes in the operating environment. The students examine the importance of their own personality, attitudes and values in the work of an occupational therapist. The students identify ethical issues related to the work of an occupational therapist. The students reflect on the implementation of the principles of equality and parity in the work of an occupational therapist. The students takes responsibility for their performance and they evaluate the effects of it. The students work with innovative and experimental approach and are flexible to change. The students plan career development in order to maintain and promote their competitiveness as employees and job applicants. The students create social relationships and networks to promote career development. The students market their competence and expertise using different forms of communication. The students assess external and internal straining factors (work stress) affecting their own well-being at work when working as occupational therapists.

Location and time

osan 1 (Tehoa työnhakuun ja urakehitykseen 2op) oppiminen moodlessa periodin mittaisena aikana (kesäperiodilla, syksyn 1. ja 2. periodilla omat ajoitukset)
osan 2 (Toimintaterapeutin ammatti-identiteetin vahvistaminen 3op ) itsenäisen tehtävän deadline pienryhmän mukaan määrittyvänä. pienryhmät nähtävillä toteutuksen ajoituksessa sekä opintojakso orientaatiossa. tehtävän palautus on pienryhmän jälkeen , palautus avoinna kokoajan.

osaan 2 tulee lisäksi myös vapaaehtoisia porinaryhmiä , jonne voi tulla jakamaan ajatuksia opiskeljakollegojen ja opettajan kanssa. nämä ajoitukset nähtävillä orinataatioaineistossa ja linkki tulee opintojakson työtilan työkaluihin.

part 1 Boost your job seeking and career development (2cr) Student chooses two moduls of this course:
Job search and career planning 1 cr, Labor legislation, employment contracts and salary 1 cr , Future working life skills 1 cr, Competence development and self-management 1 cr , Working life 2030 1 cr

part 2 student work independently (3cr) with Strengthening the Professional Identity of the Occupational Therapist. smallgroup for discussion .

- search for information from different sources and evaluate their reliability in an appropriate way,
- combine information from different sources into appropriate units as well as
- utilize and apply the knowledge base of the field.
- apply their competence in the professional situations,
- act in a client-oriented way,
- demonstrate the ability to solve professional tasks and problems as well as
- can justify their own points of view and their own action in a professional manner.
- function according to the ethical principles of the professional field and can justify their actions,
- act professionally in a work community and share their

- combine new learning contents as parts of wider phenomena in the field,

- justify their choice on the basis of the prior knowledge.
- apply their expertise in professional situations in a responsible and independent manner
- act professionally in client processes,
- solve versatile professional tasks and problems as well as
- justify the expressed points of view, evaluate their actions and their consequences in a professional way.
- function according to the ethical principles of the professional field and can critically evaluate their actions
- can organize the activities of versatile groups and share their competence

- combine new learning contents as parts of wider phenomena in the field and create new perspectives as well as
- critically evaluate the sources of their choice and their usability.
- apply and communicate their expertise in multiprofessional situations in a holistic and responsible manner
- can make independent decisions and function professionally in the client processes,
- solve versatile professional tasks insightfully and creatively,
- justify their expressed points of view, evaluate their actions and their consequences in a professional way as well as
- act and make choices on the basis of previously acquired information

Assessment methods and criteria

osa 1 arvioidaan ko opintojakso ohjeiden mukaan.

osa 2 arvioidaan jäsennyksen, perehtymisen ja oppimistehtävän perusteluiden näkökulmasta. ammatillisen kasvun vaihetta ei arvoteta. oppimistehtävä henkilökohtainen , josta saa yksilöllisen palautteen. Pienryhmässä ei esitellä tehtäviä, mutta työskennellään yhdessä ilmiön parissa. pienryhmässä myös lukupiiri, johon artikkeli aineistossa.
