Objective

Learning outcomes:
The students analyse the gained information of assessment to identify meaningful activities and performance areas of client and to indicate the needs for change. The students become familiar with the client-centered goal setting. The students understand the meaning of setting goals in enabling occupational performance. The students are familiar with planning goal-based therapeutic occupation, which promote the client’s occupational performance. The students understand the meaning of occupational therapy theory and models when planning therapy. The students utilise information from other disciplines to enable the client’s occupational performance.

- know the key concepts in the field and can use them in appropriate contexts,
- distinguish between ordinary knowledge and research information and
- can search for information for individual cases.
- can act in professional situations according to the guidelines,
- recognize the operating environments of the professional field as well as
- know how client orientation forms a foundation for action.
- show their command of the ethical principles of the professional field
- follow the security guidelines
- can function as members of work team
- understand the significance of strengths and development needs in the professional growth

Students
- combine information from different sources
- show they have familiarized themselves with the knowledge base of the field
-apply the principles of client- oriented work

- seek information from different sources and evaluate the source reliability in a purposeful manner,
- combine information from different sources into purposeful units as well as
-utilize and apply the knowledge base in the field.
- apply their competence in professional situations,

- demonstrate the ability to solve professional tasks and problems as well as
- can justify the presented points of view and their own action in a professional way.
