Objective

Upon completion of the course, the student
- understands the principles of empowering methods and how to apply these principles in practice.
- understands an individual's own context and how this affects his/her agency.
- is able to guide individuals to recognize and reflect their own competences.
- can utilize the theoretical approaches as well as tools and methods in own work
- knows how to strengthen their own resources.

- Empowering approach in work life context
- Theoretical approaches in work life context f.ex. in career guidance
- Guidance process and empowering methods
- Supporting individual’s agency with empowering guidance
- Creating own empowering “tool box”

Location and time

Opintojakso suoritetaan kokonaisuudessaan verkossa Moodle-oppimisympäristössä. Verkkotapaamiset toteutetaan Zoom-alustalla. Verkkotapaamisten välissä työstetään itsenäisesti oppimistehtäviä Moodlessa.

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student will be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

Assessment methods and criteria

The student has completed the requirements to pass the course and shown ability to to apply and articulate concepts and information both verbally and in writing. The student has shown ability to apply theory and information in various work-related assignments.
