Service Management (5 cr)

Objective

Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to:
- analyse the impact of societal action and economic principles regarding the production of services
- act according to the legislation that guides organizing, producing and supervising services in social services and health care.
- orient themselves economically and cost-effectively in different environments in the supervisory and expert positions
- develop services in care of older people in a business-oriented way

- Societal and economical starting points for producing services in the elderly care
- Legislation regarding organizing, producing and supervising social and health care services
- Marketing, productization and tendering the expertise and services for older people.
- Financial administration and cost accounting in the services for older people.
- Business competence in the care of older people.

Toteutus sisältää monipuolisia oppimisaktiviteetti tehtäviä yksilötehtävistä ja ryhmätehtävään. Toteutuksella luodaan aluksi ennakkotehtävänä omakohtainen kokemus yrittäjyyteen palvelujen kehittämisessä. Moodlessa on tehtävät, pääosa luennoista, videot, tekstit ja oppimiskeskustelu. Moodlessa on keskustelualue vapaalle keskustelulle ja kysymyksille. Vapaassa keskustelussa voi jakaa pohdintoja.

Toteutuksella tehdään kaksi oppimistehtävää.

Ensimmäinen oppimistehtävä:
Ennakkotehtävä yksilötehtävänä ja keskustelu verkossa ennen toteutuksen alkua,

Ennakkotehtävä julkaistaan Moodlessa ja opiskelijat voivat tehdä sitä halutessaan jo kesällä itsellisesti.

Ennakkotehtävästä jatketaan oppimistehtäväksi ryhmissä syksyllä 2024

Ryhmät ovat opettajan antamat.

Toinen oppimistehtävä käsittelee: Yhteiskunnalliset ja taloudelliset lähtökohdat vanhuspalvelujen tuottamiselle, sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelujen järjestämistä, tuottamista ja valvontaa koskeva lainsäädäntö, esimiehen talous

Palautukset ja tehtävien aikataulu löytyvät Moodlen etusivulla.

Kun ilmoittaudut toteutukselle, sinut otetaan toteutuksen työtilaan. Sieltä saat lisää tärkeää tietoa koskien toteutusta mm. Moodle työtilan tunnuksen ja kirjautumisavaimen.

Teaching methods

Yhteisöllinen työskentely tehtävissä ja verkossa.
Riittävä tieto varmistetaan ennakkotehtävällä, jonka kiteytys jaetaan Moodlessa keskustellen ryhmissä.


Opettajan laatimat tehtävät ja MATERIAALIT ovat Tekijänoikeuslain (404/61) mukaisia teoksia, joihin opettajalla on tekijänoikeus. Tehtäviä JA MATERIAALEJA ei saa käyttää muuten kuin omissa opinnoissaan. Niiden julkinen levittäminen on sallittua vain opettajan luvalla.

- Describe the principles and conditions for for marketing, productising and competitive bidding of the expertise and services for older people
-Identify and describe financial management skills and entrepreneurial competence in organising and producing services for the older people

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students know how to
- Analyse and justify the importance of society and economy for producing services for older people
- Analyse and apply social and healthcare legislation and the ethical principles of care of older people and equality
- Analyse and apply the principles of expertise as well as marketing, productising and competitive bidding of services for the elderly
-Analyse and apply financial management skills, as well as business and entrepreneurship skills in organising and producing services for older people

The students know how to
- Critically define and draw conclusions on the importance of society and economy on the production of care and services of older people
- Critically evaluate and develop the implementation of social and healthcare legislation and the ethical principles of care of older people and equality in care and services of older people
- Critically evaluate and develop the marketing, productising and competitive bidding of expertise and care and services of older people
- Critically evaluate and develop financial management skills, as well as business and entrepreneurship skills in organising and producing services for the older people
