Objective

- Acquire and critically analyze information that affects the current situation as well as the future,
from the perspective of various fields.
- Utilize the information necessary for processing changing operational environments in developing
their own work.
- Is able to evaluate the meaning and relevance of phenomenas affecting the field of culture and
their own work and reflect the new possibilities rising in their own work surroundings.

- Futures orientation - characteristics and concepts related to the future of cultural management
- Basics of futures thinking
- Megatrends included in the course seek to mirror ongoing developments in the field of cultural
management.
- Multidisciplinary and professional futures forecasting work.
- Digitality as a driver for change.

The student observes cultural phenomena from the perspective of the futures reserach using key
terms. The student is able to utilize future thinking in practice and identifies the role of interdisciplinary
work in futures work. The student understands the connection between future research and strategy work.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to analyze cultural phenomena from the perspective of the futures reserach
using key terms. The student is able to use literature and appropriate methods and tools to understand the
multidisciplinary professional future of the cultural field. Student are able to apply future research in strategy work.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student is able to utilize different perspectives of future research as part of their professional development work taking advantage of multiciscplrinary and multi professional approach. The student is able to combine and apply different tools to support phenomenal based futures thinking.
