Objective

At the end of this introductory course, students will be better equipped and informed about how to manage change at work/home. This course will motivate students to embrace change as various ICTs are changing the way we live, work and play. At the end of this course, students will be able to
- Realise that change starts with you!
- Define and understand various stages in change process.
- Explain and appreciate the building blocks of a culture which supports change.
- Anticipate and manage resistance.
- Reflect on the connection between leadership and change management.
- Demonstrate understanding of how to destabilize status quo to bring change.
- Explain the importance of communication in the process of change management.
- Make change happen.
- Show appreciation of some of the tools to minimize resistance to change.
- Realise mistakes made while managing change and explain how to avoid them.

Content

In the words of Charles Darwin, “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is most adaptable?to change.” Change is constant and this introductory course will sensitise participants to various theoretical frameworks, practical models, and techniques to support their change management journeys at work/home. The inclusion of this course is timely as the world is getting ready to manage change for the post-covid times.
