Objective

The students will learn to express their thoughts through the different methods of presentation techniques. This includes developing skills in e.g. sketching and drawing, perception, imagination and composition. The students will learn the basics of the perspective theory and they will explore the materials and tools in drawing.

Content

- Sketching and presentation techniques
- Using the Marker felt pens, pastel pencils and colour pens
- Line drawing and perceiving shapes
- Perpendicular and acsonometric projections, perspective pictures with the help of two or more vanishing points
- Digital imgage processing
- Vector and bitmap graphics

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students can present design ideas with fast sketches. The students know how to produce high quality visualizations and presentations. The students are familiar with the basics and rules of technical drawing. The students know the basics of digital image editing. The students know the common graphic software programs. The students know how to use and modify the vector and bitmap graphics for different purposes.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students can present design ideas with fast sketches quite well.
The students know how to successfully produce high quality visualizations and presentations. The students are familiar with the basics and rules of technical drawing. The students master the basics of digital image editing. The students master the common graphic software programs. The students can successfully use and modify the vector and bitmap graphics for different purposes.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students can present design ideas with fast sketches in an excellent manner. The students know how to produce high quality visualizations and presentations. The students are very familiar with the basics and rules of technical drawing. The students master the basics of digital image editing. The students master the common graphic software programs. The students master using and modifying the vector and bitmap graphics for different purposes.
