The student is able to describe the phases of walking and time-distance variables. The student is able to describe the function of lower extremity joints and muscles in walking as well as understands the impact of trunk and upper extremity motion in walking. The student understands ankle and foot functional anatomy and biomechanics in different phases of walking. The student is able to apply the principles of biomechanics while evaluating client’s locomotion.
