Objective
Students are able to name the details of the skeleton of the upper limb and shoulder. Students are able to explain the structure, function of the upper limb and shoulder joints, and identify the muscles in the area. Students are able to describe muscle function and analyse the effect of muscle attachment sites on movements.
Nervous system:
Students describe the structure of a nerve cell, the formation and conduction of a nerve impulse, and the transmission of an impulse to the next cell. They are able to explain the main features of the development of the nervous system, the basic structure of the nervous system and the main functions of the parts of the nervous system using professional terminology. In particular, students describe the circuit of the most important nerves in the limbs, and the muscle groups and skin areas they innervate, and identify the most common nerve injuries and their symptoms.
Content
- Details of upper limb bones
- Upper limb joints and muscles
- Nerve tissue function
- Central nervous system
- Fundamentals of motor regulation
- Autonomic nervous system
- Peripheral nervous system
