Objective

The students
* can perform imaging examinations of the thorax and the most typical skeletal areas
* are able to evaluate their plain imaging examinations and their quality, and to either correct or supplement the examinations
* are able to guide patients individually in imaging situations
* are able to identify parameters that affect image quality and explain their effect on image quality
* are able to explain the importance of dose optimisation parameters and apply this information in their work
* recognise the importance of patient safety. The students can name factors affecting patient safety in the work environment and apply this knowledge when assessing their own actions
* become familiar with safety system during training placement and are prepared for emergency situations
* are able to define data security factors and apply such data when using patient information systems
* are able to observe the usual hand hygiene and asepsis precautions and justify their actions with theoretical knowledge of asepsis and hygiene
* are able to evaluate their professional development as a radiographer in plain imaging examinations
