Objective

The class supports students’ professional wellbeing and helps them to manage processes of change related to work, work communities and professional interaction.

- Students can describe and analyze development needs related to work and work communities from the perspectives of an individual and the community.
- Students can develop work-related communication, interaction and partnerships taking different forms of diversity into consideration.
- Students can promote sustainable development, equality, and social responsibility in the world of work.
- Students’ behavior in professional interaction is responsible and solution-oriented.
- Students can utilize technological solutions and participatory methods in their work.
- Students can actively build their own professional wellbeing and reflect on their development process.

Content

Topical and anticipated needs for change in the world of work. Changes in the job descriptions of music pedagogues and performing musicians. Concepts and processes related to professional wellbeing. Communication, interaction and partnership building in the world of work. Principles of diversity, sustainable development, equality and social responsibility. Participatory methods and possibilities of technology. Building students’ professional wellbeing.

Students can describe and analyze development needs and processes of change related to work and work communities. Students can describe and analyze concepts and processes of professional wellbeing and the development of their own professional wellbeing. Students’ behavior in professional interaction is responsible and solution-oriented. Students know the principles of diversity, sustainable development, equality and social responsibility and can apply them in their work. Students can utilize technology and employ participatory methods in professional interaction.
