    Interior Architecture

Objective

The student will have basic knowledge of the development of Western architecture and interior design. The student will be able to identify specific characteristics, forms and colors of historical interior design styles. The student will be able to search for information and apply the knowledge of different design styles in his/her design work.

Content

• Interior decoration and the major movements in Europe
• The influence of social changes in architecture and historical styles
• Materials, colours and forms of different periods and their changes
• Architectural field trips
• Portfolio

The student has partially achieved the objectives of the course. The student outlines the development of Western architecture and interior design styles. He recognizes European interior design styles and their distinctive features, materials and use of colors. The student recognizes the importance of information retrieval as part of the quality of the final design work. He has completed the duties approved.

The student understands the importance of information retrieval as part of a high-quality design work. The student has excellently achieved the objectives of the course. The student has an excellent command of the development of western architecture and interior design styles. He is widely acquainted with European interior design styles and their characteristic features, materials and use of colors. The student understands the importance of information retrieval as part of a high-quality design work. He masters information retrieval using a variety of data sources. He is able to use skillfully and apply knowledge as part of his design work. He has completed the tasks of the course, applying what he has learned with particular merit.
