Objective

The student
• becomes familiar with different sketching techniques and tools through exercises
• can visualise their ideas and thoughts as part of professional communication
• is able to apply presentation techniques creatively and purposefully in their professional design work.

• Outline of materials, shapes and structures

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
• is familiar with sketching techniques and tools used in the textile industry
• masters drawing, painting and collage techniques in their pictorial expression
• knows the meaning of pictorial expression as part of the design process and professional communication
• masters appropriate presentation techniques in design assignments in their field.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• masters the sketching techniques and tools used in the textile industry
• is well versed in drawing, painting and collage techniques in their pictorial expression
• is well aware of the importance of pictorial expression as part of the design process and professional communication
• masters and is able to apply appropriate presentation techniques in design tasks in their own field.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• masters a wide range of sketching techniques and tools used in the textile industry
• has an excellent command of drawing, painting and collage techniques in their pictorial expression
• knows very well the meaning of pictorial expression as part of the design process and professional communication
• masters, applies and is able to skillfully use appropriate presentation techniques in design tasks in their own field.
