Objective

The student
• deepens their knitting skills in the design and implementation of knitted fabric by becoming familiar with industrial knitting techniques
• is able to design and produce different patterned knitted textiles for the needs of a specific target group
• understands the different technical applications of knitting material in different application areas
• is able to design patterned knitwear by computer
• takes into account the technical and economic realities of production and the principles of sustainable development
• is able to price their design product and prepare technical instructions for production.

The student
• knows the stages of industrial knitted fabric design and product development
• masters target group-oriented design, knitwear product design and computer-aided design
• knows the impact of the technical and economic realities of production on the design and production process and knows the principles of sustainable development
• masters product pricing and technical instructions for production
• satisfactorily masters the professional presentation.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• masters the design and product development stages of industrially knitted fabric
• is well versed in target group-oriented design, knitwear product design and computer-aided design
• is well aware of the impact of the technical and economic realities of production on the design and production process and is well acquainted with the principles of sustainable development
• has a good command of product pricing and technical instructions for production
• masters the professional presentation well.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• is well versed in the design and product development stages of industrially knitted fabric
• has an excellent command of target group-based design, knitwear design and computer-aided design
• knows very well the impact of the technical and economic realities of production on the design and production process and has an in-depth understanding of the principles of sustainable development
• has an excellent command of product pricing and technical instructions for production
• masters a high-quality professional presentation and is able to reflect in a variety of ways.
