Objective

After completing this course, the student is familiar with basic concepts of usability, can identify, evaluate and justify medical device safety of use related issues, knows usability engineering methods for improving usability and is able to utilize them appropriately, and fluently manages on-time communication.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Student is familiar with basic concepts of usability. Student is able to identify and describe medical device safety of use related issues. Student knows and can use usability engineering methods for improving usability. Student can communicate and report results.

Student is properly familiar with basic concepts of usability. Student is able to identify, evaluate and justify medical device safety of use related issues. Student properly knows usability engineering methods for improving usability and is able to apply them appropriately. The student knows how to communicate and report the results clearly within the given schedule.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student is excellently familiar with basic concepts of usability. Student is able to critically and thoroughly identify, evaluate and justify medical device safety of use related issues. Student excellently knows usability engineering methods for improving usability and is able to apply them appropriately and in high-level. The student knows how to communicate and report the results convincingly within the given schedule.
