Objective

Student understands Next Generation Firewalls features and use cases and can configure devices so that they are optimally utilized

Content

Installing and configuring advanced firewalls. In this course we co-operate with Palo Alto and Use materials from their academy program. Most of the labs can be done remotely by using our remote lab environmenet netlabpro.metropolia.fi. Some labs and case studies can require physical access to our networking laboratory with networking hardware. Items covered in this course:Security Zones, Security and NAT Policies, Application- and Content-ID, File Blocking, Decrypting SSL-traffic, Site-to-Site VPN, Managent and reporting, High availability, using extended features of firewall.

Basic understanding of network, Osi-model and TCP/IP protocol.
