Objective

Students master the stage engineering systems and their properties, potential uses, operational principles and special requirements of the systems. Students know the procedures and requirements involved in safe rigging and lifting and they are able to rig and lift safely in a workgroup. They are able to comprehend the work process involved with the stage. The students understand stage technology as a part of live performance production and understand the job requirements in the field. Students are aware of the inherent safety risks regarding the systems in stage engineering. Students are able to seek theoretical information regarding stage technology and utilize it in practice.

Content

- Stage engineering equipment, systems and the operating principles
- Safe execution of rigging and lifting
- The work process in stage technology
- Safety risks and practices involved in the systems
