Objective
The students are familiar with the production process of a short fiction film and can phase it from the point of view of different production crews. They work in responsible and assisting roles during different phases of the production. They are familiar with responsibilities of different members of the production crew and master teamwork skills. They can communicate in a production team and advance its activities. The students can execute the cinematography, lighting and field sound recording of a short fiction film. They can execute the image and sound editing as well as other required post-production work. The students are familiar with different short film release channels and understand the importance of release as a part of professional film production.

- Organizing and communicating with the production crews.

If shooting period is cancelled due for example Covid-19, the exam for cinematography and lightning students is from the book Lightning for CInematography in the end of the course. Exam for other professional fields are also possible

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Students have acceptable participation in class and complete the assignments to a satisfactory standard. They are acquainted with the production process and the phases of the production of a short fiction film. They work in base level roles during different phases of the production. They are acquainted with the responsibilities of the various members of the film crew and the fundamentals of teamwork They communicate in the team. They can work in a professional role respective to their study orientation in a short film production. They are familiar with different distribution channels for short films and understand the role of distribution as a part of a professional film production.

Students actively participate in class and complete the assignments to a good standard. 1-2 Sufficient = absences, shortages in tasks, passivity
3-4 Good = active presence, all tasks completed
5 Excellent = ability to bring new knowledge to the subject

Fiction Film 1 or similar competences.
