Objective

Students
- are familiar with the basic types of tissue in the body
- know the central scientific terms related to the human body
- master the basic structure and functions of the human body
- understand the principles of the regulatory system
- understand the central aetiology of diseases at cellular level and changes related to diseases
- understand the general principles of the recovery process at cellular level
- are familiar with the basics of oncology

Teaching methods

Self learning with books, and handouts and other materials in Moodle, lectures

Exam schedules

Exams, three of them, 16 mins, 20 mins and 40 mins are taken in the Moodle platform (see Moodle). In Moodle student will take the examinations as well as re-takes or raises.

Pedagogic solutions of partial aknowledgements is made individually.

Student workload

Students studying hours 5 cr = 135 hours. At most 50 hours classroom studies: orientation, lectures and laborations. At least 85 hours of self studies (in small groups) with materials in Moodle and literature.

Further information

Students prepare for lectures by studying the topics of the day in advance (flipped learning). It is compulsory to attend classroom studies. Lectures are not streamed.
