Objective

The student knows the methods, different diagrams and concepts used in plant design. The student knows the most important design documents and their significance for the success of a design project. The student is able to create basic design documents, diagrams and 3D models at different stages of plant design.

The student becomes familiar with the standard dimensioning of pipes and pipe fittings used in piping design and with pipe stress analysis.

Content

1. EN; SFS and PSK standards and regulations related to piping systems.
2. The most Common piping materials and their selection.
3. Support systems and stress analysis for pipelines.
4. Piping isometers.
5. Novell design systems and methods.
6. The course includes design exercises on CAD software.
