Objective

The student will be familiar with the fundamentals of measurement technology. The student knows the most important sensors, transducers and measuring instruments. The student can process measurement data.

Content

-Common sensors, transducers, signal condition and processing
-Basics of measuring
-Pollution measuring
-Standards
-Mathematic theory of measurements and signal condition

Location and time

-Ryhmille lukujärjestykseen merkittyinä aikoina

Teaching methods

Toteutuksen teoriaopetus tapahtuu suomeksi, pääsääntöisesti etäopetuksena 1. periodin teoriaopetuksen aikana. 2.periodissa laboratorioharjoituksia.

Teoriaopetuksen aikana opetellaan mittaustiedon käsittelyä tietotokoneen avulla.

Kurssin suorituksiin kuuluvat:
- Teoriakoe
- Analysoinnin harjoitustehtävät
- Laboratorioharjoitukset ja niiden raportointi

Exam schedules

Ilmoitetaan myöhemmin, n. 1. ja 2. periodin vaihteessa.

Student workload

Opiskelijan ajankäyttö n. 27 h / 1 op:
-Luennot ja analysointitehtävät ja tentit 75 h
-Labrat ja raportointi 60 h
-Kuormitus n. 8 h / vko / syksy

Evaluation scale

0-5

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to define or describe the subject matter related to the concepts and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the associated basic quantitative comparisons and calculations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply, calculate, change and choose the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as to complete and produce the necessary information for the calculations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students is able to categorize, collect, combine and generalize the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as derive and rearrange given basic information.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student is able to define or describe the subject matter related to the concepts and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the associated basic quantitative comparisons and calculations.

Assessment methods and criteria

Arviointi tapahtuu tentin sekä analysointitehtävien ja laboratorioharjoitusten perusteella, painotuksella 60/40, vaatien hyväksytyn tentin läpäisyn
- Tenttiarviointi 0-5
- Kurssiarviointi 0-5

Prerequisites

The student can understand simple natural scientific phenomena and the student has the basic mathematical and science skills needed to calculate physical phenomena.
