Objective

The student knows the importance of condition monitoring of power plants and energy producing. The student knows how to perform nondestructive testing of structures. The student is familiar of balancing of rotating masses and understands vibrations of machinery.

The student is able to measure vibrations and knows the basics of rotating machinery balancing.
The student handles NDT-methods.

Prerequisites

The student will be familiar with the fundamentals of measurement technology. The student will be familiar with the most common materials of power plants. The student will understand importance of heat engines and devices used in power plants and the process itself.
