Objective
On completion of the course the student
- is familiar with soft soil geotechnics (settlements, slope stability, excavations and lateral earth pressure)
- can choose the appropriate method of ground reinforcement for each circumstance
- is familiar with geosynthetics materials in infrastructures
Content
Foundation engineering for infrastructures:
- settlements and stability of embankments
- stability of soil slopes and excavations
- ground reinforcement methods
- geosynthetic materials

- recognizes soft soil geotechnics (settlements, slope stability, excavations and lateral earth pressure)
