Objective

On completion of the course, the student knows the basics of planning roads and knows how the planning progresses.
The student knows why detailed drawings are necessary and can choose the correct implementation methods.
The student can supervise the implementation of a simple road construction project or its part independently according to the plans.
The student knows basic structures related to road construction and can implement them on site.

3. Bridges
4. Rails, traffic signs and other structures related to roads
5. Construction on site based on plans
6. Regulations, permissions and implementation

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
- is familiar with the planning process
- knows how different types of basic structures function
- can supervise the construction of a simple road according to plans
- can plan the temporary traffic arrangements.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to the previous criteria, the student
- can plan a simple road construction project and make a realistic schedule for it
- can supervise a typical road construction project
- can name the structural components of a bridge
- can combine equipment and machinery needed in road construction.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the previous criteria, the student
- can compare the costs of alternative solutions
- can schedule planning and construction in an economically optimal timeframe
- understands the differences in the tasks of the developer and contractor and can evaluate matters from both points of view.

- can supervise the construction of a simple road according to plans
- can plan the temporary traffic arrangements.
