Objective

The students can execute a practice film project in school's production environment. They know the principles of film production and related activities. They know the fundamentals of cinematic storytelling and dramaturgy and are able to apply them in writing a screenplay for a short practice film. They can plan and execute a practice film project based on the screenplay. They know the professional roles of production crew members and are able to work in different roles. They know shooting location practices and division of work roles. The students can execute shooting, lighting and sound recording of the practice film with basic equipment. They can execute simple sound and image post-production process of the practice film. They know the basic principles of directing in practical shooting situations. The students can lead and organize both their own and their team's activities. The students recognize the special requirements of different professional roles in film production. They can gather information independently and act in a constructive manner during the production. They can analyze and assess the production as a whole and give feedback. The students know the key elements of work safety in audiovisual productions. They can prevent potentially hazardous situations and know how to act in a case of emergency.

Students have acceptable participation in class and complete the assignments to a satisfactory standard. They can use camera and sound equipment, and post-production units in a satisfactory manner. They know the workflow from shooting to editing, sound post-production and to release print. They recognize the fundamentals of dramaturgy and their significance in the writing of a short practice film screenplay. They can execute a practice film production in a school production environment. They are acquainted with how to assess the production process, and are able to give feedback about it.

Students actively participate in class and complete the assignments to a good standard. They can use camera and sound equipment, and post-production units well. They are familiar with the workflow from shooting to editing, sound post-production and to release print. They know well the fundamentals of dramaturgy and can apply them in the writing of a short practice film screenplay. They can execute a practice film production in a school production environment well. They are capable of assessing the production process, and are able to give feedback about it.
