Objective

The students know the school's production environment. They know the principles of multi-camera production and related activities. They know the means of visual expression and audiovisual journalism and can use them in multi-camera production. The students know the fundamentals of television storytelling and dramaturgy and apply them in the project. The students know the fundamentals of studio technology, camerawork and studio sound recording as well as principles of visual expression and lighting. They know the tv-studio command cues and working practices. They know the professional roles in tv program productions and can work in different roles. They can compose a directing plan, storyboard and schedule for a tv program. The students can work in different professional roles in live broadcasting situations. They can supply background information to news events, observe social phenomena and generate ideas and program topics based on their observations. The students can pitch their program ideas. The students are familiar with different interview techniques and are able to use them. They can shoot, light, record and edit a video insert. The students can lead and organize both their own and their team's actions. The students know key elements of work safety in the professional field. They can analyze and assess the production process as a whole and give feedback.

Content scheduling

Kurssilla suunnitellaan ja toteutetaan ryhmäkohtaisesti 20 minuutin makasiini ohjelma. Ohjelman kesto sisältää max 5 minuuttia insertti materiaalia. Ohjelmassa esiintyvät vieraat ja juontaja.

Osaamistavoitteet:
Opiskelija tuntee oppilaitoksen tuotantoympäristön. Opiskelija tietää monikameratuotannon tuotannolliset ja toiminnalliset periaatteet. Opiskelija tuntee kuvallisen ilmaisun ja audiovisuaalisen journalismin keinot ja osaa käyttää niitä monikameratuotannossa. Opiskelija osaa tv-kerronnan ja -dramaturgian perusteet ja soveltaa niitä harjoitusprojektissa.
Opiskelija tietää studiotekniikan, kameratyöskentelyn ja studioäänityksen sekä kuvailmaisun ja valaisun perusteet. Opiskelija osaa tv-studion komentokielen ja työskentelytavat. Opiskelija tuntee ohjelmatuotannon työtehtävät ja osaa toimia eri rooleissa. Opiskelija osaa laatia tv-ohjelman ohjaus- ja kuvasuunnitelman sekä aikataulutuksen. Opiskelija osaa toimia suorassa lähetystilanteessa eri ammattirooleissa.
Opiskelija osaa taustoittaa uutistapahtumia, havainnoida yhteiskunnallisia ilmiöitä ja muotoilla havainnoistaan ideoita ja ohjelma-aiheita. Opiskelija osaa esitellä ohjelmaideansa. Opiskelija tuntee erilaisia haastattelutekniikoita ja osaa käyttää niitä. Opiskelija osaa kuvata, valaista, äänittää ja leikata videoinsertin.
Opiskelija osaa organisoida omaa ja työryhmän toimintaa. Opiskelija osaa alan työturvallisuuden perusteet. Opiskelija osaa analysoida ja arvioida kokonaisuutta ja antaa siitä palautetta.

Students have acceptable participation in class and complete the assignments to a satisfactory standard. They have a basic knowledge of studio technology, as well as of camera, light and sound work. They are acquainted with the fundamentals of TV narration and dramaturgy. They are acquainted with professional roles in multi-camera and TV program production and are able to work in some of the roles. They know how to act in a live program situation. They know how to present program ideas. They know the fundamentals of insert production and are able to use the technique to a satisfactory degree. They participate in the activities of a production team. They can assess the production as a whole and give feedback.
