Objective
Student:
• understands the critical evaluation and use of evidence-based mental health nursing methods.
• understands the significance of evidence-based mental health nursing in the development of mental health nursing and the treatment relationship
• is capable of independently assessing treatment need in mental health nursing with the customer and people close to them
• is able to guide the customer and people close to them comprehensively.
• understands the practices of case management and knows how to develop them.
• is able to make decisions and to support decision-making by the customer and people close to them in an ethical manner, drawing from the principles of evidence-based mental health nursing.

• evidence-based nursing in mental health work
• critical evaluation and development of evidence-based mental health work methods
• developing mental health care based on evidence-based mental health care methods
• assessment of care need in mental health work
• comprehensive guidance of the customer and people close to them in mental health work
• case management and its development
• ethics and evidence-based mental health nursing supporting decision-making by a nurse and the customer and people close to them

The student demonstrates versatile and extensive competence in the content of the course. He/she has an excellent ability to search for relevant information. The student’s solutions demonstrate independence, responsibility, and skills in guiding others.
