Objective

Students
- can assess and develop their professional competence in accordance with the challenges of working life
- can apply health and welfare strategies to the work of public health nurses and management
- are able to work in multi-actor work groups and networks as well as manage their activities as experts of public health nursing
- are capable of decision-making in unexpected situations and in diverse operating environments

- can estimate costs and the effectiveness of preventative work and early intervention in public health nursing

The student may choose professional studies of public health nursing after successfully completing the theoretical requirements of professional nursing studies as well as all the clinical practices in medical and surgical operating environments, unless otherwise agreed in the student's PSP.
