Objective
The Students:
• can explain the importance of home for an older person
• identify the importance of the environment for older people and find ways to promote environmental memory friendliness
• identify ways to support older people living at home and kinship care and informal care
• are able to assess the needs of services for home care clients and informal care families and to know the methods used to draw up a client plan;
• identify multiprofessional networks for informal and home care
• are able to justify the role of an older person and their loved ones in planning and implementation of services
• recognise the importance of communities in the well-being of an older person;
• are able to explain the role and importance of volunteering in supporting living at home

• objectives, quality, legislation and services of home care and informal care
• service needs assessment process and care and service plan
• communality, communal living solutions, family care
• basics of volunteering
• preventing falling
• CERAD
