Objective

The students
*are able to define radiation protection principles and to apply them in practice in plain imaging and dental imaging within health care, and in animal imaging.
*identify, assess and try to minimise the risk of radiation use, and are prepared for abnormal incidents and act accordingly in case any occur.
*are able to justify their decisions on the basis of the applicable rules and regulations in the field of dental, plain and veterinary radiography activities and to implement and supervise radiation protection arrangements related to the activities in their field, including the protection of employees and the general public.
*are able to provide guidance in the safe use of radiation, including quality assurance, introduction of new methods and optimisation, and contribute to the development of a radiation safety culture in cooperation with the radiation safety expert
