Objective

The student is able to perform dialogic and ethical interaction with clients and work community. The student is able to utilize the evaluation skills as well as rehabilitation and treatment methods in a more versatile manner than previously, focuses on practicing the skills and integrate evidence-based information into practice.

The student is able to operate in a client-centric manner in the client interactions of podiatry and participates in multi-professional team-work. The student expresses competency of ergonomics and work safety, choosing and using clinical devices as well as organizing the working environment.

Content

-Lower extremity and upright posture as well as podiatric evaluation
-Planning, implementation, and assessment of client’s podiatric treatment, and rehabilitation
-Multi-professional collaboration
-Promotion and supporting of functions, working ability in podiatrist’s work
-Ergonomics and safety in podiatrist’s work, working environment and clinical devices
-Podiatrist’s work strain, its assessment and ergonomic resources to support working ability
-Work health regulations directing podiatrist’s work
