Learning outcomes
The aim is to develop and improve the Swedish language and communication skills of the students of the course, to familiarise with the Swedish labour market, culture and society, to prepare the student for writing a motivation letter and CV as well as to present their competence and skills to an employer in Swedish. After completing the course, the student has an opportunity to move to Sweden for an on-the-job training period or a summer job, and s/he is entitled to get help and support from the Swedish language teacher of the course throughout the whole period.

Writing a motivation letter and Curriculum Vitae, Presentation Skills, The labour market, culture and society in Sweden, Swedish language and communication skills, Work- and field-related vocabularies, Study trip to Sweden (if the Covid-19 pandemic permitting), Meetings with the coordinator of international affairs of the Metropolia UAS and the recruiter of the Gavle municipality, Guest speakers
