- the student understands what relation applied to databases is, understands normalization and is able to do the normalization with the instructor's help;
syntax:
- the student understands SQL syntax and is able to write simple SQL syntax with the instructor's help;
queries and result arrangement:
- the student understands what SQL queries and result arrangements are and is able to write and use them with the instructor's help;
database modification:
- the student understands what INSERT, UPDATE & DELETE are and is able to write and use them with the instructor's help;

Assessment criteria, good (3)

paradigm:
