Objective

The student can describe the changes that take place in the body with age, and their connection with functional ability. Based on the assessment of functional ability and the life situation of the elderly as well as the capacity of the living environment, students are able to plan solutions that promote functional ability in multiprofessional cooperation with the client. The student can describe the opportunities of digital solutions in the guidance and in the support of functional ability.

Changes due to ageing in different organ systems
Connection between memory disorders and functional ability
Most important geriatric diseases and their treatment
Observing the life circumstances of the elderly and their living environments in the assessment of functional ability

Digital solutions in rehabilitation and remote rehabilitation

Prerequisites

Student knows the basics of assessment and promotion of functioning in physiotherapy. Student knows the basics of body functions and structures.
