Objective

Students know how to describe health promotion as a socially multidimensional and diverse phenomenon as well as a continuous process providing people with possibilities for increasing and improving control of their health. Students are able to identify the need for counselling concerning clients’ change of lifestyles and counsel clients in an empowering way to increase their resources and participatory actions. Students are able to assess the lifestyle guidance they have provided to develop their own actions. They are aware of the significance of nutrition as a factor improving clients’ functional ability and performance as well as rehabilitation.

Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act flexibly as group members.
