Objective

The student can describe the factors affecting the client’s respiratory and cardiovascular health and knows how to promote respiratory and cardiovascular health. The student knows how to assess the function of the client’s respiratory and cardiovascular system and can implement physiotherapy that promotes functional ability. Students are able to interpret examination results related to cardiac patient’s physical performance and assess this performance. They know how to plan and implement the rehabilitation of patients representing varying risk levels in various phases of the rehabilitation.

Assessment methods and criteria

Exams and certain written assignments will be evaluated on a scale 0-5.
The grade is the mean of the grades of the two parts (Promotion of Respiratory and Cardiovascular Functions in Physiotherapy) of the course.

Prerequisites

Student knows the basics of assessment and promotion of functioning in physiotherapy. Student knows the basics of body functions and structures.
