Objective

The student can select appropriate assessment methods for functional ability as a basis for planning and implementing physiotherapy, considering the rehabilitees’ individual situations and their significant others as well as the phase of rehabilitation and the operational environment. They identify changes in the rehabilitees’ functional ability, especially if it is severely impaired, and are able to adjust their actions to the rehabilitees’ resources. Students develop their competence in instructing rehabilitees and their significant others, considering their resources and individual needs. Students gain competence in reviewing their own competence and actively accumulate their own competence as well as utilise their competence as part of multiprofessional work. Students utilise research knowledge in the promotion of their own competence as well as the development of neurological physiotherapy. The student knows how to combine the previously learned medical subjects into an entity of differential diagnosis that serves practical work. The student can develop the assessment skills of the patient’s general status as part of the patient’s physiotherapeutic examination and treatment monitoring.
