Objective

The Students
• work with older people with different abilities to function, building a confidential client relationship
• are able to explain the starting points for assessing ability to function
• recognise the importance of physical activity, creative action and group activities for maintaining and strengthening the health and functional abilities of an older person
• plan and implement goal-oriented, group activities supporting functional abilities for older people in different operating environments
• use different activation methods according to the specific needs of older people
• assess their own action and how the goals set for the action were met
• recognise the importance of asepsis and infection prevention in their work and are able to act in accordance with the existing guidelines

• becoming acquainted with different group activities of older people
• group action and guiding in different operating environments
• sociocultural and creative methods in group activities
• health inducing sports
• the application of creative activities and health exercises to support occupational performance
• utilizing digitalisation in group activities
• criteria for assessing functional capacity and learning TOIMIA database
• basics of asepsis
• internship 4,5 ECTS
• assessing one's own proficiency and professional growth
