Objective
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
• understand their role as expert in the operating environment of the live performance field.
• identify their strengths and development areas regarding learning.
• utilise reflection in achieving professional goals.
• utilise their work community and professional networks in developing their competence.
• take into account the promotion of work ability at different stages of a career as part of work.

Teaching methods
Opintojakso koostuu lähi- ja etäopetusluennoista, opetusta tukevasta itsenäisestä opiskelusta ja pienryhmätehtävistä. Lisäksi opintojakson aikana luodaan opiskelijan henkilökohtainen opintosuunnitelma. Opintojakson aikana opiskelija laatii ohjeistetusti opintopäiväkirjan. Opintojakso päättyy oman asiantuntijuuden esittelytehtävään.

On mahdollista, että osa opetuksena toteutettavasta opintojaksosta tallennetaan joustavaa opiskelua varten. Mikäli et halua olla mukana tallenteella, ilmoita tästä opettajalle opintojakson ensimmäisellä opetuskerralla. Opetustilanteiden tallenteet ovat nähtävissä opintojakson ajan opintojakson käyttämällä oppimisalustalla. Jos ryhmän kanssa ei sovita muuta, opetustilanteiden tallenteet poistetaan viimeistään 6 kk opintojakson päätyttyä.

Student workload
Kurssin opintopistemäärä on viisi opintopistettä. Laskennallisesti yhden opintopisteen suorittaminen edellyttää 27 tuntia työtä. Opintojakson kokonaistuntimäärä on tämän laskelman mukaan 135 tuntia. Opintojaksolla on luentoja 21 tuntia eli työmäärästä 114 tuntia sijoittuu luentojen ulkopuolelle. Tämä tuntimäärä jakautuu luentoihin valmistautumiseen (etukäteen luettaviin materiaaleihin tai tehtäviin), henkilökohtaiseen ohjaukseen, harjoitustyön tekemiseen (yksilö / ryhmätyö) ja henkilökohtaisen opintopäiväkirjan pitoon. Pystyt näiden tuntimäärien mukaan arvioimaan, millaista panostusta sinulta kurssityöskentelyyn odotetaan ja miten kurssin kuormittavuus suhteutuu muihin kursseihin.
Työmäärämitoitus on ohjeellinen ja suuntaa antava opintojakson osaamistavoitteiden saavuttamiseksi ja arvosanaan 3/5 tarvittava keskimääräinen työmäärä. Opiskelijan aiemmasta osaamis- ja kokemustaustasta riippuen työmäärä voi olla vähemmän tai enemmän. Opintojaksossa hankittua osaamista arvioidaan tehtävien ja muiden suoritteiden kautta, ei tehtyjen tuntien määrällä.

The student is able to make visible their own expertise and understands its significance in the field of live performance engineering. The student is able to assess their own competence and set development goals in relation to previous competence and future developments of the field. The student is capable of collaborative learning and utlises networks in self-development. The student can acquire and analyse information about future developments of live performance engineering. The student is able to apply principles of self-management and personal well-being.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is able to make visible their own expertise and understands its significance in the field of live performance engineering. The student is able to use diverse methods to assess their own competence and set development goals in relation to previous competence and future developments of the field. The student promotes collaborative learning and utlises networks in self-development. The student can analyse and assess information about future developments of the live performance engineering field in relation to their own expertise. The student is able to develop principles of self-management and personal well-being.

Assessment methods and criteria
Opintojaksolla on 50 % läsnäolovelvollisuus. Lisäksi opiskelijan tulee olla laadittuna henkilökohtainen opintosuunnitelma.
Arvioinnin perusteet ja painotukset:
Harjoitustyöt (60 % arvosanasta)
Jatkuva arviointi (20 % arvosanasta)
Oppimispäiväkirja (20 % arvosanasta)
Aktiivisella osallistumisella luentoihin ja luentotehtäviin on mahdollista ansaita lisäpisteitä, joilla voi korottaa opintojakson arvosanaa.
