Objective

After completing the course, the students are able to:
• use professional terminology in discussing and differentiating the operations of the industry.
• perceive the global operating environment of the clothing sector and related questions on responsibility and anticipating future trends.
• outline the design processes on a theoretical level.
• understand the significance of teamwork on clothing business.
• use basic office software for word processing, spreadsheets and presentation graphics.

Content

Clothing concepts. Philosophical basis of clothing. Fashion marketing and anticipating trends. Responsibility. Copyright. Target groups and seasonal thinking. The design process and its phases. Theory of garment composition. Tasks of the design and purchasing teams. Significance of scheduling on the profession. Basic software of the industry.
