Objective
The students understand the technical properties of the electrical and information networks used in live performance arts. The students understand the security risks related to electricity and can take them into account. They can use and apply the mentioned knowledge and skills in the field of live performance engineering. They can construct typical information networks used in live performance engineering.
The students understand the principles of electric control signals and recognizes typical causes of electrical disturbances. They understand the physical principles behind electrical disturbances and are able to take them into account their effects to the live performance engineering systems.
Content
- Electrical engineering in live performance engineering
- The concepts and construction of Ethernet networks
- Electric signals in live performance engineering
Evaluation scale
0-5
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student is able to safely build and operate temporary electrical networks and recognizes some sources of interference. He/she is able to use ethernet as part of simple audiovisual systems.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student is able to safely design, build and operate temporary electrical networks and pays attention to sources of interference. He/She is able to design and use ethernet as part of audiovisual systems. The student is able solve typical problems in ethernet networks.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is able to safely design, build and operate temporary electrical networks and pays attention to sources of interference while designing and building. He/she is able to design and use ethernet as part of audiovisual systems. The student is able to prevent and solve most problems in ethernet networks independently.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student is able to safely build and operate temporary electrical networks and recognizes some sources of interference. He/she is able to use ethernet as part of simple audiovisual systems.
