Objective
Aim of the course is to help students understand the modern supply chain and a network of policies, and their role in the company's business and competitiveness in the market. The course also helps the student understand manufacturing management: how products and the information related to them move inside the company.
In the course, the student also gets an understanding of how IT systems support the management of product and information flows.

Content
The supply chain is a strategic choice (order-supply chain concepts, processes and flows, management of suppliers and customers, as well as demand-side management). Order-supply chain planning and
control, material, and information management.
Supply chain management (quality and environmental management, process, and management).
Manufacturing management (operation strategies, types of processes, materials requirement planning, lay-out planning, production line balancing, master planning, scheduling, E-T-O/A-T-O/M-T-I, JIT production)

Students know the course concepts and models well and are able to justify their decisions. The students are able to apply their knowledge in new situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise and areas requiring further development.
