Research Methods

Lisätiedot

A thesis can be theory- or literature-based; it can be an attempt to understand more deeply a particular problem or issue; it can be an effort to solve a specific problem. It can be work-based; it can be more academically based. It should be focused on a topic of special interest to the researcher. Ultimately, the thesis is a demonstration of an individual’s academic and professional maturity.
The scope of a bachelor’s thesis is 15 ECTS credits, or approximately 400 hours of work. This includes the literature review, data collection and analysis, the writing of the thesis, and the maturity exam. The final thesis should contain 10,000 – 12,000 words, being approximately 40-60 pages in length.
