Clinical Practice in nursing environment

Location and time

Supervised clinical practise in clinical environments, Autumn 2022

Materials

Mandatory participation in Practice orientation (see the schedules)
Rehearse the theory study material related to practise environment
Materials appointed by the practise unit

Teaching methods

Clinical nursing practise 6 weeks
Practise assignment

Student workload

1 cr = 27 h student work
Lenght of the practise is 5 weeks, 40 h/week
Practise assignment 16 h
Practise 8 credits = 216 hours

Compulsory studies prior to practise:
Pharmacotherapy 1 accomplished
Pharmacotherapy 2 accomplished
The Basic practice of clinical nursing 1 & 2 accomplished and approved or RLP.
Theory studies related to practical field in question accomplished
Drug calculations related to theory studies passed
Studies required by the practise unit accomplished
Clinical nursing practises 1-5 need to be accomplished prior to practise 6

Clinical practise in pediatric or adolescent care units: Student has to show criminal record certificate prior to starting clinical practise
