Learning outcomes

The student learns the basics of operating the studio equipment required by music productions. The student knows the fundamentals and terminology of hearing, sound and acoustics, the operating principles of electronic music devices and instruments, and is capable of searching for information regarding these. The student is acquainted with basic studio equipment and signal routing and knows how to use them appropriately in practical applications.

The student is capable of working in a small group as a musician, sound engineer or producer and knows how to utilize their skills in a recording situation. The student understands the different roles in groups, group processes, the principles of leadership and knows the basics of successful group work.

Content

Studio work, basic skills and knowledge of music technology. Preparation, organisation and completion of a recording session. Group and self-evaluation.

- The student can complete and submit the set exercises and assignments according to schedule.
