The student learn the material recycling and reuse processes and concepts discussed during the course he/her can solve the main problems.

The student recognises ways to recycle materials, chemicals and energy in a closed loop system.
The student can apply pinch analysis in simple problems.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can solve applied problems concerning material and energy conservation and recycling.
The student can apply pinch analysis in real case study problems.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student recognises ways to improve material and energy efficiency.
The student recognises an idea of industrial symbiosis.

Qualifications

The student recognizes the importance of sustainable urban planning. The student will be familiar with the basics of energy production and its meaning for the society.
