- are able to identify various types of periodontal diseases and their risk factors and manage the different phases of treatment
- understand the microbiology of periodontal diseases
- are be able to explain the most common procedures of periodontal surgery
- are able to explain the most common procedures of oral surgery and their aftercare

- take into consideration the patient's general illnesses and medications in planning treatment

Further information for students
The student confirms his/her participation in the course by being present at the beginning of the first lesson or by agreeing on it with the teacher in other ways.
Compulsory attendance at the dental hygienist in oral surgery, endodontics and prosthodontics and at the general health and oral health -lessons.
Completed Dentistry I is requirement of attendance.
Dentistry II must be accomplished before student can continue clinical training.
If the student has individualized educational support / study arrangements, shall this student contact the teacher of the course immediately after the end of the registration period (or latest before the start of the course).
