Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student knows how to act according to agreed schedules and return their
learning assignments on time. The student can work as an active member of a group and give constructive feedback on the contributions of the other group members. The student presents and argues their own contribution to the group as agreed and is able to receive feedback and reflect on their own performance. The student passes a written and oral examination.

Qualifications
The student is able to identify, describe, analyse and produce elements of melody, harmony, rhythm and form at a more advanced level both orally, in writing, and by means of body rhythm, within the context of their own musical background.
The student is capable of describing and producing elements of musical improvisation. The student knows how to notate musical phenomena from a recording and how to apply these to practice with their own instrument in developing their own musical skills and proficiency. The student knows how to modify musical materials to suit their own purposes and write simple arrangements for small ensembles. The student is capable of using music technology to support their own learning and expression.
