Objective

After the course, the students can:
• recognize the body measurements and proportions related to children’s growth.
• recognize the used size systems for children and the young.
• make patterns for appropriate products for children and the young.
• apply the standards for children’s wear in practice.
• apply their competence when recognizing a high quality garment for children and the young.
• use problem solving, co-operation and communication skills in the product team in the development process of the garment and related decision making.

Content

Pattern making for children’s wear and manufacturing garments using industrial, alternative methods. Grading of the product. Manufacturing instructions in English, which facilitates the manufacturing process in practice.
